# ARTICLE I — CITIZEN CONDUCT & ETHICS

### **ARTICLE I — CITIZEN CONDUCT & ETHICS**

#### **Preamble to Article I**

Dominion’s greatest resource is its people. The tone, atmosphere, and enjoyment of the city depend entirely on the behavior of its citizens.\
These codes ensure that interactions—whether police chases, business meetings, or casual conversations—remain respectful, creative, and believable.

***

#### **Section 1.1 – Respect & Professionalism**

**Law Text:**\
Every citizen shall conduct themselves with dignity and respect toward others, regardless of status, character alignment, or rank. Discrimination, harassment, slurs, and targeted ridicule are strictly forbidden.

**Interpretation:**\
Respect extends beyond words; it includes how you respond to failure, how you communicate in Discord, and how you treat staff decisions.\
Professionalism means keeping emotions separate from character actions.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* After losing a gunfight, you stay in character, accept defeat, and maybe plan an in-character retaliation later.
* ❌ *Wrong:* You rage in voice chat, accuse others of cheating, or call them names.

**OOC Note:**\
Toxic behavior—IC or OOC—will result in administrative action starting with a warning and escalating to permanent removal.

***

#### **Section 1.2 – Immersion & Realism**

**Law Text:**\
Citizens must remain in character at all times while inside the city. OOC comments are restricted to OOC channels or designated commands. Actions must reflect realistic human behavior given the situation.

**Interpretation:**\
Immersion means acting as though the world is real. Your character feels fear, exhaustion, and consequence. Running into gunfire for “fun” breaks immersion.\
Driving 150 mph downtown just to “test a car” without RP justification breaks realism.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* You crash your car in pursuit, roleplay calling EMS and facing possible arrest.
* ❌ *Wrong:* You flip five times, crawl out unhurt, and speed away like nothing happened.

**OOC Note:**\
Failing to value your character’s life or ignoring physical logic will be classified as **FailRP**.

***

#### **Section 1.3 – Common-Sense Clause**

**Law Text:**\
Any behavior that clearly violates the spirit of fair, immersive roleplay may be sanctioned even if not explicitly described within this Charter.

**Interpretation:**\
This clause exists because no rulebook can predict every exploit. If you’re asking, “Is this technically allowed?”—it probably isn’t.\
The goal is to protect fun and realism, not to exploit grey areas.

**Scenario Example:**

* ❌ Exploiting a mechanic loophole to rob someone in a safe zone because it “wasn’t listed” will still result in punishment.

***

#### **Section 1.4 – Language & Communication**

**Law Text:**\
Language used in public voice or text channels must remain appropriate and free of real-world hate speech, sexual content, or explicit political propaganda.

**Interpretation:**\
Dominion welcomes players of many ages and backgrounds. Keep public spaces friendly; keep adult or extreme RP in private scenes with consent and staff awareness.

**OOC Note:**\
Staff may mute, warn, or remove any player for repeated vulgarity or explicit themes in public zones.

***

#### **Section 1.5 – Conflict Resolution**

**Law Text:**\
Disputes between citizens must first be handled calmly and privately. If unresolved, they may be escalated to the Administrative Team through tickets or reports. Arguments in public chats or mid-scene are prohibited.

**Interpretation:**\
Respect for process keeps the city peaceful. The RP world doesn’t pause for personal fights—take them to tickets, not to roleplay.

**Scenario Example:**\
Two players disagree about Fear RP. They finish the scene, clip it, and open a staff ticket afterward rather than shouting mid-roleplay.

***

#### **Section 1.6 – Representation of the Community**

**Law Text:**\
Every member represents Euphoria both inside and outside the server. Behavior in partner Discords, streams, or social media that damages the city’s reputation may fall under administrative review.

**Interpretation:**\
What you do outside still reflects on the brand. Promoting hate, leaking content, or attacking staff elsewhere harms everyone’s experience.

***

#### **Section 1.7 – Administrative Cooperation**

**Law Text:**\
Citizens must comply with reasonable staff requests during investigations or active scenes. Refusal, obstruction, or dishonesty in these situations constitutes misconduct.

**Interpretation:**\
Staff enforce fairness. Cooperation doesn’t mean agreement—it means allowing due process.

**OOC Note:**\
Providing false information in tickets may escalate any punishment one level higher than the original offense.
