# ARTICLE IV — MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNITY STANDARDS

## **ARTICLE IV — MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNITY STANDARDS**

#### **Preamble**

Dominion is not merely a city — it is a living community shaped by those who inhabit it.\
Each citizen, whether a humble worker, entrepreneur, officer, or criminal, contributes to the heartbeat of the world.\
To protect its integrity, Dominion requires that all members meet standards of maturity, accountability, and engagement.\
These are not barriers — they are safeguards that ensure the city remains a place of excellence and respect.

***

### **Section 1 — Entry Requirements**

**1.1. Minimum Age Requirement**\
All citizens must be at least **18 years of age** to participate in the Dominion Roleplay environment.\
This ensures a mature community capable of handling adult-themed roleplay responsibly.

**Interpretation:**\
Dominion’s stories often involve intense, emotional, or morally gray situations.\
Age restrictions help preserve immersion and maturity, ensuring participants can separate fiction from reality.

*OOC Note:*\
\&#xNAN;*Falsifying your age or circumventing this rule is grounds for permanent removal.*

***

**1.2. Application and Screening Process**\
Citizens seeking entry must complete a **whitelist application**.\
This process assesses roleplay understanding, rules knowledge, and commitment to community values.\
Applications are reviewed by staff who ensure candidates will uphold the standards of Dominion.

**Interpretation:**\
The whitelist process filters out trolls and low-effort players, allowing the world to remain immersive and consistent.\
It’s not about exclusivity — it’s about protecting everyone’s experience.

*OOC Note:*\
\&#xNAN;*Applicants may reapply after a waiting period if denied. Multiple failed applications may require staff interview or cooldown.*

***

**1.3. Orientation & Acceptance**\
Upon acceptance, new members must complete a **citizen orientation**, which introduces the city’s mechanics, roleplay systems, and expectations for conduct.\
Only after orientation are players given their **citizen credentials** (whitelist role, access permissions, etc.).

**Interpretation:**\
This ensures every player begins with the same understanding of how Dominion operates — minimizing confusion and maximizing immersion from day one.

***

### **Section 2 — Citizenship Obligations**

**2.1. Responsibility of Conduct**\
Each citizen is responsible for their own behavior and understanding of the city’s laws, both IC and OOC.\
Ignorance of the rules does not excuse violations.

**Interpretation:**\
True roleplayers read the laws they live by. Every interaction reflects one’s respect for the shared world.

*Example:*\
If your character commits a crime IC, that’s part of storytelling. But if you exploit a bug to avoid arrest, that’s OOC misconduct.

***

**2.2. Role Continuity**\
Players must maintain consistency in their characters’ actions, motivations, and history.

* Abrupt personality changes, memory wipes, or unrealistic behavior breaks immersion.
* Character development should feel natural and believable, shaped by in-game experiences.

**Interpretation:**\
You are writing a story within a shared universe. Your choices leave footprints. Continuity is the bridge between yesterday’s RP and tomorrow’s events.

***

**2.3. Multiple Characters (Alts)**\
Citizens may maintain multiple characters only if each is distinct, separate, and independent.

* Alternate characters cannot share money, properties, or knowledge.
* Interaction between your own characters is strictly prohibited (metagaming).

**OOC Note:**\
\&#xNAN;*Violations will result in account audits and possible removal of secondary characters.*

***

**2.4. Representation & Ambassadorship**\
Every citizen is a representative of Euphoria.\
Conduct within the server, Discord, and external communities reflects upon the entire world.

**Interpretation:**\
Your actions outside the game — social posts, discussions, or behavior in other servers — can uplift or damage Euphoria’s reputation.\
Act like an ambassador, not just a participant.

***

### **Section 3 — Community Interaction & Contribution**

**3.1. Active Participation**\
Citizens are expected to remain active participants in the city’s life.

* Inactivity beyond a reasonable period (typically 30 days) may result in removal from the whitelist or loss of certain privileges.
* Consistent contribution — through RP presence, creativity, or event involvement — strengthens the community’s ecosystem.

**Interpretation:**\
Euphoria is a shared story. When players vanish without notice, it interrupts ongoing arcs and development. Communication prevents that disruption.

*OOC Note:*\
\&#xNAN;*You may request a “Leave of Absence” if you must step away temporarily.*

***

**3.2. Constructive Communication**\
Feedback is welcomed — hostility is not.

* Use proper channels to provide suggestions or criticism.
* Insulting staff or other members while giving feedback invalidates your point and violates conduct standards.

**Interpretation:**\
The city improves when citizens speak up, but tone defines how your voice is received. Respect turns critique into collaboration.

***

**3.3. Mentorship & Guidance**\
Experienced citizens are encouraged to mentor newcomers.\
Teaching others proper RP etiquette, commands, and expectations builds stronger storylines and bonds.

**Interpretation:**\
Veterans set the culture. Help others learn — and Euphoria grows into something greater than the sum of its parts.

***

### **Section 4 — Membership Review & Removal**

**4.1. Probationary Period**\
New citizens may be placed under a **30-day probation** during which their roleplay quality and behavior are observed.\
Staff may provide feedback or issue corrections as needed.

**Interpretation:**\
Probation allows guidance rather than punishment. It’s a period of adjustment — a chance to learn the rhythm of Euphoria’s world.

***

**4.2. Revocation of Membership**\
Membership may be revoked at any time if a citizen:

* Engages in repeated misconduct.
* Shows consistent disregard for immersion or RP quality.
* Harasses, threatens, or damages the community environment.

**Interpretation:**\
Euphoria is a privilege, not a right. The city’s doors are open to all who respect it, but closed to those who seek to harm it.

***

**4.3. Appeals & Reinstatement**\
Citizens who lose membership may appeal after a defined period, depending on the nature of removal.\
Appeals are considered by senior staff and require a demonstration of change, accountability, and respect.

**Interpretation:**\
Mistakes happen. Euphoria believes in growth — but only when matched by genuine remorse and understanding.

*OOC Note:*\
\&#xNAN;*Ban evasion or deceit during appeals will result in permanent disqualification.*

***

#### **Closing Statement for Article IV**

Membership in Dominion is not just access to a server — it’s entry into a society built on respect, creativity, and accountability.\
Every citizen is a storyteller. Every act of maturity keeps the city alive.\
Your membership is your vow to honor that shared vision.
