# ARTICLE XV — ADVANCED ROLEPLAY MECHANICS, PLAYER ECONOMY, AND IC REALISM

## **ARTICLE XV — ADVANCED ROLEPLAY MECHANICS, PLAYER ECONOMY, AND IC REALISM**

#### **Preamble**

Dominion RP incorporates complex systems including economy, property, crafting, and jobs.\
This article defines rules and best practices to ensure that these systems remain **immersive, balanced, and realistic** for all players while preventing exploitation or FailRP.

### **Section 15.1 — Player Economy**

#### **15.1.1 — Currency and Wealth**

1. IC money must reflect **in-game actions**:
   * Jobs, business profits, heists, or legal/illegal sales
2. Excessive accumulation or unexplained wealth is **FailRP**.
3. Donation money or purchased assets are **non-transferable unless explicitly allowed**.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player earns $1,200 from bus driving over multiple IC shifts.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player receives $50,000 instantly with no IC justification.

#### **15.1.2 — Banking and Transactions**

1. Bank deposits, transfers, and withdrawals must follow IC realism.
2. Large transfers may require IC documentation or roleplay explanation.
3. Fraud, hacking, or OOC exploits are strictly prohibited.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player sells a car IC and deposits earnings at a bank using IC interaction.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player teleports cash to bank or duplicates funds via exploit.

### **Section 15.2 — Inventory and Item Management**

#### **15.2.1 — Realistic Carrying Limits**

1. Players cannot carry **unrealistic amounts of items**.
2. Bag, clothing, and vehicle storage must follow IC limitations.
3. Exploiting inventory mechanics to hold excessive items is **FailRP**.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player carries 2 pistols and 100 rounds in a backpack; extra weapons stored in vehicle.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player carries 10 rifles and 5 duffle bags invisibly on their person.

#### **15.2.2 — Crafting and Production**

1. Crafting systems must follow **IC processes, time, and materials**.
2. Instant production, duplication, or bypassing steps is prohibited.
3. All crafted items must be **accounted for and realistic** in usage.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player spends 2 hours crafting an electronic device using collected components.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player instantly crafts multiple items without effort.

### **Section 15.3 — Property and Vehicle Realism**

#### **15.3.1 — Housing and Ownership**

1. All property purchases require **IC justification and financial ability**.
2. Property may serve as:
   * Safehouse
   * Business location
   * Storage facility

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player buys apartment IC after earning enough money; decorates and uses as RP location.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player instantly owns multiple luxury apartments with no IC source of income.

#### **15.3.2 — Vehicle Ownership and Usage**

1. Vehicles must be **purchased, stored, and maintained IC**.
2. Unrealistic vehicle spawning, instant repairs, or theft of donation vehicles is prohibited.
3. Vehicle customization follows IC realism:
   * Allowed: paint, minor mods, approved underglow
   * Prohibited: invisible mods, instant upgrades, unrealistic performance enhancements

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player takes vehicle to a shop for repairs and upgrades over IC time.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player instantly modifies vehicle with no RP explanation.

### **Section 15.4 — Jobs, Businesses, and Player-Owned Enterprises**

#### **15.4.1 — Employment**

1. Players may work IC jobs, follow schedules, and perform duties.
2. Jobs include legal roles (bus driver, mechanic, taxi) and faction roles (gangs, EMS, PD).
3. Abuse of jobs for IC advantage or OOC gain is prohibited.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player works mechanic job, repairs vehicles IC, earns money.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player uses job scripts to instantly earn money with no RP.

#### **15.4.2 — Player-Owned Businesses**

1. Must have **IC justification, management, and staff hierarchy**.
2. Business activity must follow **IC operational hours and tasks**.
3. Abandoned or inactive businesses for 2+ weeks may revert to city control.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player opens a cafe, hires staff, and handles IC sales.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player owns a full nightclub instantly with no IC setup or staffing.

#### **15.4.3 — Faction-Owned Enterprises**

1. Gang or criminal faction enterprises must follow **IC production, distribution, and risk rules**.
2. Exploiting faction systems for unlimited income or items is FailRP.

### **Section 15.5 — IC Realism and Environmental Interaction**

#### **15.5.1 — Vehicles and Traffic**

1. Players must follow **traffic rules**, realistic speed limits, and road behavior.
2. Excessive violations without IC consequence is FailRP.
3. Accidents must be roleplayed with appropriate injuries and vehicle damage.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player crashes vehicle at 40mph, roleplays injury, and waits for EMS response.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player crashes at high speed with no consequences or injury RP.

#### **15.5.2 — Physical Limitations**

1. All characters must respect realistic **stamina, injury, and environmental limitations**.
2. Players may not perform actions their character couldn’t logically do:
   * Jumping extreme distances
   * Carrying multiple people without explanation
   * Surviving serious trauma instantly

#### **15.5.3 — Interaction With IC Systems**

1. Jobs, crafting, business, and criminal activity must **interact with other players and systems realistically**.
2. Exploiting systems for OOC gain or immersion break is strictly prohibited.

### **Section 15.6 — Administrative Oversight**

1. **Violation Assessment**
   * Staff evaluates FailRP, exploits, and abuse of IC systems.
2. **Penalties**
   * Minor: Scene redo, cooldown extension, IC warning
   * Moderate: Inventory/asset confiscation, temporary restriction
   * Severe: Permanent ban, removal from faction/business, or major asset deletion
3. **Appeals**
   * Must include IC/OOC context and evidence within 7 days.
   * Appeals should demonstrate understanding and commitment to RP standards.

Advanced roleplay mechanics, player economy, and IC realism are core pillars of Dominion RP.\
Players are expected to **maintain realism, follow IC procedures, and avoid exploits** to create an immersive and balanced experience.\
