# ARTICLE XVII — EVENT GUIDELINES, LARGE-SCALE OPERATIONS, AND SERVER-WIDE ROLEPLAY

## **ARTICLE XVII — EVENT GUIDELINES, LARGE-SCALE OPERATIONS, AND SERVER-WIDE ROLEPLAY**

#### **Preamble**

Server-wide events and large-scale RP operations add excitement, variety, and engagement to Dominion RP.\
This article defines **rules, planning, and procedures** for events, ensuring fairness, immersion, and enjoyment for all participants while maintaining IC realism and OOC clarity.

### **Section 17.1 — Event Planning and Approval**

#### **17.1.1 — Event Proposals**

1. All events must be **staff-approved** before execution.
2. Proposals must include:
   * Event type (zombie outbreak, purge, festival, heist)
   * IC and OOC objectives
   * Duration, participant limits, and location
   * Any potential disruption to ongoing IC scenes

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player submits zombie outbreak plan for review; staff approves time, spawn locations, and safety rules.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Players start a purge event spontaneously, disrupting other IC scenarios.

#### **17.1.2 — Staff Coordination**

1. Staff oversee:
   * Event setup
   * NPC placement or enemy spawns
   * Rule enforcement
   * Player safety and fairness
2. Staff may intervene if:
   * Events cause FailRP
   * Exploits occur
   * Civilians are unfairly targeted

### **Section 17.2 — Event Participation Rules**

#### **17.2.1 — Eligibility**

1. All players may participate unless restricted by:
   * Age (18+ unless approved)
   * Active bans or suspensions
   * Specific IC roles or faction restrictions for balance

#### **17.2.2 — Player Conduct**

1. Players must adhere to **IC realism**:
   * Fear and injury must be roleplayed
   * Vehicle and weapon usage must follow standard rules
2. Avoid exploiting spawn mechanics, invisible areas, or OOC knowledge.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Player runs from zombies IC, uses safe tactics, and interacts with other survivors realistically.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Player teleports through waves of enemies or instantly kills all NPCs without RP consequence.

#### **17.2.3 — Event-Specific Rules**

1. Zombie/Purge Events:
   * Players must follow survival rules, scavenging realism, and avoid OOC knowledge to locate items.
   * Looting and killing are IC justified only within event scope.
2. Holiday or Festival Events:
   * Participation may require IC attendance, tasks, or mini-games.
   * No griefing of non-participants.
3. Large-Scale Heists or Raids:
   * Must be limited to approved participants
   * Must include negotiation, planning, and IC documentation
   * Cooldowns must be respected

#### **17.3.1 — Spawn Locations**

1. NPCs, enemies, or interactive props must be placed to maintain **IC realism**.
2. Spawn points cannot create unfair advantages for participants.

1. Events must have **predetermined start and end times**.
2. OOC notifications should be provided via Discord or in-game alerts.
3. Duration should consider:
   * Player engagement
   * Potential IC disruption
   * Realistic pacing of RP scenarios

1. Civilian and non-participating factions must be **protected from forced FailRP**.
2. Events must avoid:
   * Indiscriminate targeting
   * Exploiting safe zones
   * Breaking IC immersion for unrelated players

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Zombie outbreak targets city streets; civilians are warned or allowed safe areas.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Zombies spawn inside safehouses and instantly kill players.

### **Section 17.5 — Loot, Rewards, and Economy**

1. All rewards must be **IC justified**:
   * Money, items, vehicles, or rare equipment must follow IC acquisition rules
2. Event loot may **not include donation-exclusive or restricted items**.
3. Excessive or unrealistic rewards may result in adjustments or confiscation.

**Scenario Example:**

* ✅ *Correct:* Players collect scavenged food, weapons, or IC currency during a purge event.
* ❌ *FailRP:* Players receive $50,000 or all rare items instantly from an event.

### **Section 17.6 — Staff Oversight and Enforcement**

1. Staff may intervene if:
   * FailRP occurs during the event
   * Exploits or unfair advantages are detected
   * Players break IC/OOC boundaries
2. Violations may result in:
   * Event removal
   * Cooldown extension
   * Temporary or permanent bans for severe abuse

#### **Section 17.7 — Post-Event Review**

1. Staff conduct a **review of the event**:
   * Assess player compliance with IC rules
   * Identify FailRP or rule violations
   * Adjust rewards, cooldowns, or penalties if needed
2. Players may provide feedback OOC to improve future events.
